Every company that plans to market, sell or profit from merchandise that includes U.S. Air Force and U.S. Space Force intellectual properties must acquire a merchandise license with the Department of the Air Force. A merchandise license describes the terms through which the DAF grants permission to a company to use a trademark, service mark or copyright for distribution, marketing and sale. These agreements also render a company as an official licensee of the DAF.
The DAF works with many businesses and individuals who produce a wide variety of products and services to the commercial sector. Products sold by our licensees not only supports access to one’s favorite brand, but a portion of the proceeds are returned to the DAF for use within the Air Force and Space Force Intellectual Property Management office and directly supports morale, welfare and recreation programs throughout the Air Force and Space Force.
If you feel that you have a product that will help spread the word about the U.S. Air Force or U.S. Space Force, then you should apply for a MERCHANDISE LICENSE.
